How it works

1. Cast Ancestral Statue for its blitz cost by paying 0.
2. Ancestral Statue enters the battlefield, returning itself from the battlefield to your hand.
3. Repeat.

This ingenious loop turns Henzie "Toolbox" Torre's commander tax discount into a zero-mana engine. Because Henzie reduces the blitz cost of creatures with mana value 4 or greater by {1} for each time you've cast him, casting Ancestral Statue enough times completely wipes out its mana cost, allowing you to cast it for free. When Ancestral Statue enters the battlefield, its triggered ability forces you to return a nonland permanent to your hand—and since it's the only nonland permanent around, it bounces itself right back to your hand. This creates an infinite cycle of casting and returning, letting you rack up as many creature enters-the-battlefield, leaves-the-battlefield, and storm triggers as your heart desires!
