How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Yosei, adding CC.
2. When Yosei dies, Nim Deathmantle triggers, causing you to pay 4 to return Yosei from your graveyard to the battlefield, and attach Nim Deathmantle to it.
3. When Yosei enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing target opponent to skip their next untap step, and tapping five permanents that opponent controls.
4. Repeat for each remaining opponent, and during each of your turns.

By feeding Yosei, the Morning Star to Ashnod's Altar, you generate the mana needed to fuel Nim Deathmantle's resurrection trigger the moment the Dragon dies. This recursive loop not only constantly recycles Yosei, the Morning Star to trigger its death ability, but the constant recasting and dying lets you continually tap down opposing boards and strip your opponents of their untap steps entirely. Ashnod's Altar provides the crucial sacrifice outlet and colorless mana source to keep the loop going, while Nim Deathmantle acts as the engine that pulls Yosei, the Morning Star right back to the battlefield, locking your adversaries out of the game permanently.
