How it works

1. Activate Bartolomé del Presidio by sacrificing Yosei.
2. When Yosei dies, it and Gift of Immortality trigger.
3. Resolve the Yosei trigger, causing the next player in turn order to skip their next untap step.
4. Resolve the Gift of Immortality trigger, returning Yosei from your graveyard to the battlefield.
5. Resolve the Bartolomé del Presidio ability.
6. At the beginning of the end step, Gift of Immortality triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield attached to Yosei.
7. Repeat during each turn unless you are the next player in turn order.

This sinister loop completely locks opponents out of the game by wedding recursive resurrection to devastating soft control. By feeding Yosei, the Morning Star to Bartolomé del Presidio's sacrifice ability, you trigger Yosei's death ability to permanently tap down five permanents and deny your target opponent their next untap step. Meanwhile, Gift of Immortality ensures Yosei immediately returns to the battlefield from your graveyard and then conveniently reattaches itself at the end step to do it all over again.
