How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Yosei, adding 1.
2. When Yosei dies, Nim Deathmantle triggers, causing you to pay 4 to return Yosei from your graveyard to the battlefield, and attach Nim Deathmantle to it.
3. When Yosei enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing target opponent to skip their next untap step, and tapping five permanents that opponent controls.
4. Repeat from step 1 for each remaining opponent.
5. Repeat for each remaining opponent, and during each of your turns.

This lock relies on a vicious loop powered by Phyrexian Altar to repeatedly sacrifice Yosei, the Morning Star. Each time our legendary dragon falls, Nim Deathmantle steps in to resurrect it directly from the graveyard, using the mana generated from the sacrifice to pay for its trigger and re-equip itself. Because Yosei triggers its massive tap-down and untap-skip upon entering the battlefield—rather than just dying—looping this process completely paralyzes your opponents' boards and resource generation indefinitely.
