How it works

1. Activate Yahenni by sacrificing another nontoken creature that doesn't have flying.
2. When the creature dies, Luminous Broodmoth triggers, returning the creature from your graveyard to the battlefield with a flying counter on it.
3. Activate Yahenni by sacrificing the creature with a flying counter on it.
4. When the creature dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
5. Resolve the Yahenni abilities from step 1 and 3.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on a clever interplay between resurrection mechanics and your sacrifice outlet. You begin by using Yahenni, Undying Partisan to sacrifice a nontoken creature, which triggers Luminous Broodmoth to return it to the battlefield bearing a flying counter since it lacked wings initially. From there, you sacrifice that same creature again to Yahenni, letting its newly acquired persist ability—granted by Isilu, Carrier of Twilight (the back face of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn)—bring it right back with a -1/-1 counter. Because the flying counter and the -1/-1 counter continuously cancel each other out upon subsequent deaths, the creature can alternate endlessly between Luminous Broodmoth and persist triggers to generate infinite sacrifices, deaths, and enter-the-battlefield effects.
