How it works

1. Activate Lithatog's first ability by sacrificing Optimus Prime, Hero.
2. When Optimus Prime, Hero dies, its second ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield as Optimus Prime, Autobot Leader.
3. Activate Lithatog's first ability by sacrificing Optimus Prime, Autobot Leader.
4. When Optimus Prime, Autobot Leader dies, Luminous Broodmoth triggers, returning Optimus Prime from your graveyard to the battlefield as Optimus Prime, Hero with a flying counter on it.
5. Resolve both Lithatog abilities from steps 1 and 3, giving it +2/+2 until end of turn.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop harnesses the dual-faced nature of Optimus Prime, Hero alongside Luminous Broodmoth to constantly recycle the Autobot leader back and forth across different zones. Lithatog serves as the necessary sacrifice outlet to send Optimus Prime to the graveyard over and over, all while turning those sacrifices into a massive pump for itself. Because Optimus Prime, Autobot Leader and its front face have separate death triggers and return mechanics—and because Luminous Broodmoth catches the back face when it dies without flying—the transformer smoothly pivots between its two identities to fuel an endless cycle of sacrifices, enter-the-battlefield events, and death triggers.
