How it works
Activate Thermopod by sacrificing it
When Thermopod dies, Luminous Broodmoth triggers, returning Thermopod from your graveyard to the battlefield with a flying counter on it.
Activate Thermopod by sacrificing it
When Thermopod dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
Repeat.
This looping engine relies on Luminous Broodmoth and Isilu, Carrier of Twilight (the back face of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn) to perpetually reset Thermopod each time it meets its end. Because Thermopod naturally lacks flying, Luminous Broodmoth returns it to the battlefield with a flying counter after its first sacrifice, and Isilu's granting of persist ensures that its subsequent death brings it back with a -1/-1 counter instead. The -1/-1 counter and flying counter then conveniently cancel each other out as state-based actions, resetting the loop entirely while Thermopod's own sacrifice ability continuously churns out infinite red mana.
