How it works
Activate Phantom Train by sacrificing Optimus Prime, Hero.
When Optimus Prime, Hero dies, its second ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield as Optimus Prime, Autobot Leader.
Activate Phantom Train by sacrificing Optimus Prime, Autobot Leader.
When Optimus Prime, Autobot Leader dies, Luminous Broodmoth triggers, returning Optimus Prime from your graveyard to the battlefield as Optimus Prime, Hero with a flying counter on it.
Resolve both Phantom Train abilities from steps 1 and 3
Repeat.
This clever loop transforms Optimus Prime, Hero into an endless engine of sacrifice and rebirth by using Phantom Train to repeatedly send him to the graveyard. Because Optimus Prime's front and back faces have built-in trigger mechanics that return him to the battlefield when he dies—alternating seamlessly with Luminous Broodmoth catching him whenever he hits the graveyard without flying—the cycle is completely self-sustaining. As Phantom Train devours Optimus Prime in both his Hero and Autobot Leader forms, it continuously grows larger while generating an infinite cascade of death and entry triggers.
