How it works

1. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Infernal Vessel.
2. When Infernal Vessel dies, it triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield as a Demon in addition to its other types.
3. Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability.
4. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Infernal Vessel.
5. When Infernal Vessel dies, Luminous Broodmoth triggers, returning Infernal Vessel from your graveyard to the battlefield with a flying counter on it.
6. Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms a simple sacrifice outlet into an endless cycle by exploiting Infernal Vessel's unique resurrection trigger. When you use Umbral Collar Zealot to sacrifice Infernal Vessel the first time, its death triggers its own ability to return as a Demon, but crucially, it loses its non-Demon status for subsequent deaths. That is where Luminous Broodmoth steps in: because Infernal Vessel returns to the battlefield without flying, the Broodmoth catches it the next time it dies, bringing it back with a flying counter—resetting the creature so the loop can continue indefinitely.
