How it works
Activate Urza by paying 6, creating a token copy of Breya that is a 1/1 Soldier.
Put the token Breya into your graveyard due to the legend rule.
The token Breya's enter-the-battlefield ability triggers, creating two 1/1 Thopter artifact creature tokens.
Activate Ashnod's Altar twice by sacrificing the Thopters, adding CCCC.
Crime Novelist triggers twice, adding and putting two +1/+1 counters on it.
Repeat.
This engine is a masterclass in recycling, fueled by cloning and sacrificing artifacts to turn a net mana profit into infinite triggers. By using Urza, Prince of Kroog to copy Breya, Etherium Shaper, you trigger the legend rule and send the token copy straight to the graveyard, but not before its entrance floods the board with two Thopter artifact tokens. Those Thopters are immediately fed to Ashnod's Altar for four colorles mana, while Crime Novelist watches every sacrifice happen, graciously kicking in extra red mana and growing larger with +1/+1 counters to keep the loop self-sustaining and infinitely repeatable.
