How it works
- Activate Urza by paying 6, creating two token copies of Magic Pot that are 1/1 Soldiers.
- Activate Ashnod's Altar twice by sacrificing the Magic Pot tokens, adding CCCC.
- When the Magic Pot tokens die, they trigger, creating four Treasure tokens.
- Activate two Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding 2.
- Repeat.
This loop relies on Urza, Prince of Kroog to turn your mana investment into a pair of token copies, amplified exponentially into four total tokens by Exalted Sunborn’s replacement effect. Once you feed those newly minted token copies into Ashnod's Altar, you generate more than enough colorless mana to cover Urza's activation cost while leaving behind a pile of dying Magic Pot tokens. Each Magic Pot death triggers its own ability to spawn Treasure tokens, which you can easily crack for the colored mana needed to sustain the engine.
