How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing another nontoken nonartifact creature, adding CC.
2. When the creature dies, Missy's first ability and Skirk Alarmist trigger.
3. Resolve the Missy ability, returning the creature from your graveyard to the battlefield face down as a 2/2 Cyberman artifact creature.
4. Resolve the Skirk Alarmist trigger, untapping it.
5. Activate Skirk Alarmist by tapping it, turning the creature face up.
6. Repeat.

This cunning loop relies on Missy to constantly intercept your sacrifices, transforming any fallen nonartifact creature into a fresh 2/2 Cyberman ready to be repurposed. As each creature hits the graveyard, Ashnod's Altar converts it into a pair of colorless mana while fueling Missy's trigger to return it face down. Skirk Alarmist then steps in to turn that disguised creature face up, resetting the cycle so it can be sacrificed back to the Altar. Meanwhile, Thornbite Staff can sit quietly equipped to your Shaman, ready to join the fray or simply waiting as part of the mechanical engine—though its presence ensures the core loop fires seamlessly alongside the Altar, Missy, and Skirk Alarmist.
