How it works

1. Activate Ghired by tapping it, creating a token copy of any creature token you control that entered the battlefield this turn.
2. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the creature token, adding CC.
3. When the token dies, Ghired triggers, untapping itself.
4. Repeat.

This ingenious setup transforms Ghired, Mirror of the Wilds into a self-contained token-copying engine by leaning on his haste and his granted tap ability. With Ashnod's Altar ready to instantly turn each newly minted token into a pair of colorless mana, the final puzzle piece is Thornbite Staff; equipping it to Ghired ensures that every single creature sacrifice triggers an untap, immediately making him ready to tap and copy again.
