How it works

1. Cast Ghalta by paying 5.
2. When Ghalta enters the battlefield, it, Cadric and Cloudstone Curio trigger.
3. Resolve the Cloudstone Curio trigger, returning nothing to your hand from the battlefield.
4. Resolve the Ghalta trigger, putting nothing onto the battlefield from your hand.
5. Resolve the Cadric trigger from step 2, causing you to pay 1 to create a token copy of Ghalta with haste.
6. When the Ghalta token enters the battlefield, it and Cloudstone Curio trigger.
7. Resolve the Cloudstone Curio trigger, returning the nontoken Ghalta to your hand from the battlefield.
8. Holding priority, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Ghalta token, adding CC.
9. Resolve the Ghalta token's trigger, putting Ghalta onto the battlefield from your hand.
10. Repeat from step 2.
11. Once you have infinite mana, you may forego sacrificing the Ghalta tokens.

This loop turns the legendary nature of Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant into an engine by leveraging Cloudstone Curio to bounce the original whenever a token copy enters the battlefield. Cadric, Soul Kindler ensures you can afford to copy Ghalta without losing your board to the legend rule while also letting you duplicate the colossal dinosaur on command. Finally, Ashnod's Altar converts the freshly birthed token copies into a surplus of colorless mana, fueling Cadric's trigger fee and leaving you with an unstoppable army of hasty titans.
