How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the creature with Deathrender attached, adding CC.
2. When the creature dies, Deathrender triggers, putting Karmic Guide from your hand onto the battlefield.
3. When Karmic Guide enters the battlefield, it and Cloudstone Curio trigger.
4. Resolve the Cloudstone Curio trigger, choosing to return nothing to your hand from the battlefield.
5. Resolve the Karmic Guide trigger, returning any nonartifact creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield.
6. When the creature enters the battlefield, Cloudstone Curio triggers, returning Karmic Guide from the battlefield to your hand.
7. Activate Deathrender's equip ability by paying 2, attaching it to the creature.
8. Repeat.
