How it works

1. Activate Survey Mechan by sacrificing it.
2. When Survey Mechan dies, Mortuary triggers, putting Survey Mechan from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Quintorius triggers, creating two creature tokens.
4. Resolve the Survey Mechan ability, dealing 3 damage to any target and causing you to draw three cards and gain 3 life.
5. Activate Ashnod's Altar twice by sacrificing the two creature tokens, adding CCCC.
6. Cast Survey Mechan by paying 4.
7. Repeat.

This loop turns Survey Mechan into a self-sustaining engine by turning its death into a recycling mechanism rather than a permanent loss. Whenever Survey Mechan hits the graveyard, Mortuary instantly redirects it back to the top of your library, while Quintorius, Field Historian spots those cards leaving your graveyard to spawn a pair of tokens. Those tokens are immediately doubled by Chatterfang, Squirrel General's replacement effect and fed into Ashnod's Altar to generate the mana needed to recast Survey Mechan for a mere four mana. Along the way, Survey Mechan's activation supplies a steady stream of card draw, life, and damage to systematically overwhelm your opponents.
