How it works
- Activate Survey Mechan by sacrificing it.
- When Survey Mechan dies, Mortuary triggers, putting Survey Mechan from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
- Quintorius triggers, creating two creature tokens.
- Resolve the Survey Mechan ability, dealing 3 damage to any target and causing you to draw three cards and gain 3 life.
- Activate Ashnod's Altar twice by sacrificing the two creature tokens, adding CCCC.
- Cast Survey Mechan by paying 4.
- Repeat.
This cunning loop turns the humble Survey Mechan into a self-sustaining engine by relying on Mortuary to intercept its death and slide it right back to the top of your library. From there, casting it again triggers Quintorius, Field Historian, whose spirit-crafting ability is doubled by Doubling Season to yield a pair of tokens instead of just one. You then feed those freshly minted spirits to Ashnod's Altar to generate the mana needed to recast the Mechan, leaving you free to repeat the cycle indefinitely for boundless damage, card draw, and life.
