How it works

1. Activate Saffi by sacrificing it, targeting Fiendish Panda.
2. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Fiendish Panda, adding CC.
3. When Fiendish Panda dies, its second ability and Saffi trigger.
4. Resolve the Saffi trigger, returning Fiendish Panda from your graveyard to the battlefield.
5. Resolve the Fiendish Panda trigger, returning Saffi from your graveyard to the battlefield.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Ashnod's Altar into an infinite mana engine by exploiting a recursive partnership between Saffi Eriksdotter and Fiendish Panda. When you sacrifice Saffi targeting the Panda, then sacrifice the Panda to Ashnod's Altar for colorless mana, both of their death triggers fire simultaneously. Saffi's delayed trigger returns the Panda to the battlefield, while the Panda's own death trigger—fueled by its power growing large enough to target Saffi—brings Saffi right back alongside it. Because the Panda resets upon re-entering, you can continuously repeat this cycle to generate infinite colorless mana alongside boundless creature entries, exits, and sacrifices.
