How it works

  1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Dread, adding CC.
  2. Dread and Verdant Succession trigger.
  3. Resolve the Dread trigger, shuffling it into your library.
  4. Resolve the Verdant Succession trigger, searching your library for Dread, putting it onto the battlefield and shuffling your library.
  5. Repeat.
