How it works

  1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Cavalier of Gales, adding CC.
  2. Cavalier of Gales and Verdant Succession trigger.
  3. Resolve the Cavalier of Gales trigger, shuffling it into your library.
  4. Resolve the Verdant Succession trigger, searching your library for Cavalier of Gales, putting it onto the battlefield and shuffling your library.
