How it works
- Cast Vaultborn Tyrant by paying 5.
- When Vaultborn Tyrant enters the battlefield, its first ability triggers, causing you to gain 3 life and draw a card.
- Trudge Garden triggers. Choose not to pay.
- Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Vaultborn Tyrant, adding CC.
- When Vaultborn Tyrant dies, its second ability triggers, creating a token copy of it that is an artifact in addition to its other types.
- When the Vaultborn Tyrant token enters the battlefield, its first ability triggers, causing you to gain 3 life and draw a card.
- Trudge Garden triggers, causing you to pay 2 to create a 4/4 Fungus Beast creature token.
- When the Fungus Beast enters the battlefield, the Vaultborn Tyrant token's first ability triggers.
- Holding priority, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Fungus Beast, adding CC.
- Resolve the Vaultborn Tyrant trigger, causing you to gain 3 life and draw a card.
- Repeat from step 7.
