How it works

  1. Cast Deepglow Skate by paying 4U mana.
  2. Deepglow Skate enters the battlefield, doubling the number of reprieve counters on Magnanimous Magistrate.
  3. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Deepglow Skate, adding CC.
  4. Deepglow Skate dies, triggering Magnanimous Magistrate, causing you to remove five reprieve counters from Magnanimous Magistrate and return Deepglow Skate from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  5. Repeat from step 2.
