How it works

  1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Squee, adding CC.
  2. Cast Squee from your graveyard by paying 1R manaR mana.
  3. When Squee enters the battlefield, Mana Echoes triggers, adding C for each Goblin you control.
  4. Activate Stonework Packbeast twice by paying 4, adding R manaR mana.
  5. Repeat.
  6. If you control four or more Goblins, this combo nets infinite mana.

This clever loop turns Squee, the Immortal into an endlessly renewable resource, fueled by the sacrifices demanded by Ashnod's Altar. Because Squee can be repeatedly cast straight from the graveyard, you never run out of material as long as you can cover the mana cost. That is where Mana Echoes comes in, scaling its colorless mana production with the number of Goblins you control to help pay for the recurrence. To bridge any color gaps, Stonework Packbeast pitches in with its mana-filtering ability while conveniently lending its diverse creature types to the synergy, ensuring the engine runs smoothly in formats like Commander, Legacy, Oathbreaker, and Vintage.
