How it works

1. Cast Rograkh either from your hand or from the command zone by paying 0 plus commander tax, if applicable.
2. Rograkh enters the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it due to Renata.
3. Activate Together Forever by paying 1, targeting Rograkh.
4. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Rograkh, adding CC.
5. When Rograkh dies, Together Forever triggers, returning Rograkh to your hand from your graveyard.
6. Repeat.

This ingenious loop turns our zero-mana kobold into an endless engine for colorless mana and death triggers. Because Renata, Called to the Hunt passively ensures that every creature you control enters the battlefield with an additional +1/+1 counter, Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh is immediately eligible to be targeted by Together Forever's activated ability for just one mana. Once Rograkh is sacrificed to Ashnod's Altar for two colorless mana, Together Forever triggers upon its death to return the commander right back to your hand. You are left with a net gain of mana every cycle, plus an unbounded storm count and endless sacrifice triggers ready to overwhelm the table.
