How it works

  1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Emrakul's Hatcher, adding CC.
  2. When Emrakul's Hatcher dies, Nim Deathmantle triggers, causing you to pay 4 to return Emrakul's Hatcher from your graveyard to the battlefield and attach Nim Deathmantle to it.
  3. When Emrakul's Hatcher enters, it triggers, creating three creature tokens.
  4. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing a creature token, adding CC.
  5. Repeat.
