How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Redcap Gutter-Dweller, adding CC.
2. When Redcap Gutter-Dweller dies, Nim Deathmantle triggers, causing you to pay 4 to return Redcap Gutter-Dweller from your graveyard to the battlefield and attach Nim Deathmantle to it.
3. When Redcap Gutter-Dweller enters, it triggers, creating two creature tokens.
4. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing a creature token, adding CC.
5. Repeat.

This clever engine harnesses Ashnod's Altar as both the sacrificial outlet and the engine of profit, generating a surplus of colorless mana from the tokens created along the way. When you feed Redcap Gutter-Dweller to the altar, Nim Deathmantle steps in to resurrect it for the exact cost of that sacrifice plus a little extra, automatically re-equipping itself to the returning threat. That resurrection triggers Redcap Gutter-Dweller's ability all over again, flooding the board with fresh Rat tokens to fuel the altar indefinitely.
