How it works

1. Cast Legion Conquistador by paying 2.
2. When Legion Conquistador enters the battlefield, it triggers.
3. In response to this trigger, activate Earthcraft by tapping Legion Conquistador, untapping a basic Plains you control.
4. Activate the Plains by tapping it, adding .
5. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Legion Conquistador and putting it on the bottom of your library, adding CC.
6. Resolve Legion Conquistador's trigger, searching your library for a card named Legion Conquistador and putting it into your hand.
7. Repeat.
