How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Lurrus of the Dream-Den, adding CC.
2. When Lurrus of the Dream-Den dies, Kaya's Ghostform and Pitiless Plunderer trigger.
3. Resolve the Kaya's Ghostform trigger, returning Lurrus of the Dream-Den from your graveyard to the battlefield.
4. Resolve the Pitiless Plunderer trigger, creating a Treasure token.
5. Activate the Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding .
6. Cast Kaya's Ghostform from your graveyard by paying , attaching it to Lurrus of the Dream-Den.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Ashnod's Altar into a self-sustaining engine by relying on Kaya's Ghostform to instantly bounce Lurrus of the Dream-Den back to the battlefield whenever it is sacrificed. Pitiless Plunderer converts that death into the black mana needed to recast the aura right out of the graveyard, taking full advantage of Lurrus of the Dream-Den's own ability to play low-to-the-ground permanents from the bin.
