How it works

1. Activate a basic Mountain, adding .
2. Cast Dargo from the command zone by paying .
3. Activate Earthcraft by tapping Dargo, untapping a basic Mountain.
4. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Dargo, adding CC.
5. Choose to return Dargo from your graveyard to the command zone.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Ashnod's Altar to convert Dargo, the Shipwrecker into a steady stream of colorless mana while sending him back to the command zone. Earthcraft provides the crucial utility needed to fuel Dargo's casting cost, allowing you to simply tap our legendary goblin to untap a basic land for the mana you need. Because Dargo reduces his own casting cost with each prior sacrifice and makes full use of the mana generated by the Altar, the whole engine becomes self-sustaining and infinitely repeatable.
