How it works

1. Cast Felidar Guardian by paying 3.
2. When Felidar Guardian enters the battlefield, it triggers, targeting Vesperlark.
3. Holding priority, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Felidar Guardian.
4. Resolve the Felidar Guardian trigger, blinking Vesperlark.
5. When Vesperlark leaves the battlefield, it triggers, returning Felidar Guardian from your graveyard to the battlefield.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This elegant loop turns Ashnod's Altar into an engine that recycles life and death through temporary exile. By sacrificing Felidar Guardian to the Altar before its own enter-the-battlefield trigger resolves, you use Vesperlark as a fulcrum to blink and instantly trigger a cascade. When Vesperlark's leaves-the-battlefield ability fires off, it pulls Felidar Guardian right back from the graveyard to restart the cycle, generating infinite colorless mana and death triggers along the way.
