How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Golgari Thug, adding CC.
2. When Golgari Thug dies, it and Fecundity trigger.
3. Resolve the Golgari Thug trigger, putting it on top of your library from your graveyard.
4. Resolve the Fecundity trigger, causing you to draw Golgari Thug from the top of your library.
5. Cast Golgari Thug by paying 0 due to Aluren.
6. Repeat.

This elegant loop transforms the humble Golgari Thug into an engine of endless iteration, fueled entirely by the free creature casting enabled by Aluren. By sacrificing the Thug to Ashnod's Altar, you generate the colorless mana you need while simultaneously triggering Fecundity to draw the very card you just put back on top of your library. Because Aluren lets you recast the Thug for zero mana at instant speed, you can repeat this cycle endlessly to flood the board, generate infinite death and sacrifice triggers, and amass limitless mana.
