How it works

  1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Young Wolf, adding CC.
  2. Young Wolf's undying ability and Blood Artist trigger.
  3. Resolve the Young Wolf undying trigger, returning Young Wolf from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
  4. Resolve the Blood Artist trigger, causing a player to lose 1 life and you to gain 1 life.
  5. Activate Ghave's second ability by paying 1 and removing a +1/+1 counter from Young Wolf, creating a 1/1 Saproling creature token.
  6. Repeat.
