How it works

1. Activate Ulasht by paying 1 and removing a +1/+1 counter from it, creating a 1/1 Saproling creature token.
2. The Saproling enters the battlefield, triggering Ivy Lane Denizen, putting a +1/+1 counter on Ulasht.
3. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Saproling, adding CC.
4. Repeat.

This delightful loop transforms Ulasht, the Hate Seed into a self-sustaining engine by converting its own body into a growing fountain of counters. By paying a single mana to strip a counter from Ulasht and spawn a Saproling token, you trigger Ivy Lane Denizen to place a fresh +1/+1 counter right back onto Ulasht, keeping its fuel supply intact. Meanwhile, Ashnod's Altar steps in to sacrifice that newly minted Saproling, generating more than enough colorless mana to continuously pay Ulasht's activation cost and net a surplus of infinite resources along the way.
