How it works

  1. Activate Ghave's first ability by paying 1 and removing a +1/+1 counter from a creature you control.
  2. Holding priority, if you control another creature and have no mana available, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing another creature, adding CC.
  3. Resolve the Ghave ability, creating a 1/1 Saproling creature token.
  4. When the Saproling enters the battlefield, Ivy Lane Denizen triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on the Saproling.
  5. Repeat.
