How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Archon of Falling Stars, adding CC.
2. When Archon of Falling Stars dies, it triggers, returning Necromancy from your graveyard to the battlefield.
3. When Necromancy enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Archon of Falling Stars from your graveyard to the battlefield, and attaching Necromancy to it.
4. Repeat.

This elegant loop relies on a clever recursion cycle between the graveyard and the battlefield, fueled by the relentless sacrifice outlet of Ashnod's Altar. Whenever you sacrifice Archon of Falling Stars to the Altar for a pair of colorless mana, its own death trigger fires to pull Necromancy right back out of your graveyard. In turn, Necromancy's entry trigger immediately targets the Archon, bringing it straight back to life and attaching itself to the creature. This sets up an infinite engine that endlessly recycles both permanents to generate boundless colorless mana alongside any number of creature entry, death, and sacrifice triggers.
