How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Vesperlark, adding CC.
2. When Vesperlark dies, it triggers, returning Activated Sleeper from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Vesperlark.
3. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Activated Sleeper, adding CC.
4. When Activated Sleeper dies, it triggers, returning Activated Sleeper from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Vesperlark.
5. Repeat from step 3.

This clever loop transforms Vesperlark into an infinite engine by leveraging Ashnod's Altar to continuously convert creatures into colorless mana. When Vesperlark leaves the battlefield, its triggered ability plucks Activated Sleeper from your graveyard, allowing it to enter as a fresh copy of Vesperlark thanks to its clever flash and graveyard-copying static ability. Sacrificing that copy back to Ashnod's Altar triggers the same recursion loop indefinitely, generating boundless death triggers and colorless energy for whatever victory you desire.
