How it works

1. Activate Mite Overseer by paying 3W/P, creating two creature tokens.
2. When the creature tokens enter the battlefield, Kor Celebrant triggers twice, causing you to gain 2 life.
3. Activate Ashnod's Altar twice by sacrificing the creature tokens, adding CCCC.
4. Repeat.

This ingenious loop hinges on Chatterfang, Squirrel General's replacement effect, which turns any single token creation into a double dose of bodies—in this case yielding both a Phyrexian Mite and a Squirrel whenever Mite Overseer's activation resolves. As these multiple entries trigger Kor Celebrant, you comfortably offset any life payments needed to fuel Mite Overseer through phyrexian mana, while Ashnod's Altar converts your freshly spawned tokens right back into the colorless mana required to keep the engine spinning.
