How it works

  1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Puppeteer Clique, adding CC.
  2. Puppeteer Clique dies, triggering its persist ability, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
  3. Puppeteer Clique enters the battllefield, putting a creature card from an opponent's graveyard onto the battlefield under your control.
  4. Activate Ghave's second ability by paying 1 and sacrificing the creature your opponent owns, putting a +1/+1 counter on Puppeteer Clique.
  5. Repeat.
