How it works

1. Activate Survey Mechan by sacrificing it.
2. When Survey Mechan dies, Mortuary triggers, putting Survey Mechan from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Skeleton Crew triggers, creating two creature tokens.
4. Resolve the Survey Mechan ability, dealing 3 damage to any target and causing you to draw three cards and gain 3 life.
5. Activate Ashnod's Altar twice by sacrificing the two creature tokens, adding CCCC.
6. Cast Survey Mechan by paying 4.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop centers around Survey Mechan, whose massive activation cost is drastically reduced by controlling a wide variety of lands, allowing you to sacrifice it for a modest investment. When it dies, Mortuary ensures it never stays in the graveyard for long by instantly recycling it back to the top of your library so you can draw it again. Meanwhile, Skeleton Crew watches those graveyard departures and takes advantage of Primal Vigor's doubling effect to flood your board with twice as many Skeleton Pirate tokens. Finally, Ashnod's Altar converts those newly minted tokens into the mana you need to recast Survey Mechan and repeat the cycle indefinitely.
