How it works

1. Activate Kresh the Bloodbraided using Ulasht's ability by paying 1 and removing a +1/+1 counter from it, creating a 1/1 Saproling creature token.
2. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Saproling, adding CC.
3. When the Saproling dies, Kresh the Bloodbraided triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on itself.
4. Repeat.

This clever synergy transforms Kresh the Bloodbraided into an infinite mana engine by feeding on its own token-making capacity. With Agatha's Soul Cauldron exiling Ulasht, the Hate Seed and granting its activated ability to creatures with +1/+1 counters, Kresh can tap into Ulasht's skill to churn out 1/1 green Saproling creature tokens. Each time you sacrifice one of those tokens to Ashnod's Altar for colorless mana, Kresh the Bloodbraided triggers upon the creature's death to replenish its own counters and keep the loop spinning indefinitely.
