How it works

  1. Activate Overgrown Estate by sacrificing a land.
  2. Repeat step 1 until you control no lands.
  3. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing World Shaper.
  4. When World Shaper dies, it triggers, return all lands from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped.
  5. When the lands enter, Emeria Shepherd triggers that many times.
  6. Resolve an Emeria Shepherd trigger that was triggered by a Plains, returning World Shaper from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  7. Resolve all remaining Emeria Shepherd triggers.
  8. Repeat

This loop transforms the simple cycle of life, death, and land into an infinite engine, fueled entirely by the sacrifices demanded at your altar and estate. By using Ashnod's Altar to sacrifice World Shaper, you trigger its death ability to flood the battlefield with every land currently sitting in your graveyard. That massive influx of lands turns Emeria Shepherd's landfall ability into an overwhelming cascade, allowing you to bypass your hand and drop World Shaper straight back onto the battlefield while bringing along any other nonland permanents you desire. Meanwhile, Overgrown Estate lets you feed lands away to gain life and empty your land base, priming the graveyard so World Shaper's eventual return can restart the whole glorious cycle.
