How it works

1. While Glacial Chasm is on the battlefield, all damage that would be dealt to you is prevented.
2. At the beginning of your upkeep, Glacial Chasm triggers. Choose not to pay its cumulative upkeep cost and sacrifice it.
3. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing World Shaper.
4. When World Shaper dies, its second ability triggers, returning Glacial Chasm and Mortuary Mire from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped.
5. When Glacial Chasm and Mortuary Mire enter, they each trigger.
6. Resolve the Glacial Chasm trigger, sacrificing Mortuary Mire.
7. Resolve the Mortuary Mire trigger, putting World Shaper from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
8. Move to your next turn, drawing World Shaper during your draw step.
9. At the beginning of your upkeep, Glacial Chasm triggers. Choose not to pay its cumulative upkeep cost and sacrifice it.
10. Cast World Shaper by paying 3.
11. Repeat from step 3.

This clever loop uses Glacial Chasm to completely shield you from all damage, resetting its escalating life-payment cost each turn by letting it hit the graveyard. When you sacrifice World Shaper to Ashnod's Altar for mana, World Shaper's death trigger resurrects both Glacial Chasm and Mortuary Mire simultaneously. Mortuary Mire enters alongside it to neatly stack World Shaper back on top of your library for your next draw step, ensuring you can replay the creature and keep the defensive cycle endlessly spinning.
