How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Nether Traitor.
2. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing another creature.
3. When the creature dies, Nether Traitor triggers, causing you to pay to return Nether Traitor from your graveyard to the battlefield.
4. Kheru Goldkeeper and Insidious Roots triggers, creating a Treasure token, a 1/1 Plant creature token and putting a +1/+1 counter on each Plant you control.
5. Activate the Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding .
6. Repeat.
