How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Nether Traitor.
2. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing another creature.
3. When the creature dies, Nether Traitor triggers, causing you to pay to return Nether Traitor from your graveyard to the battlefield.
4. Kheru Goldkeeper and Teval triggers, creating a Treasure token and a creature token
5. Activate the Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding .
6. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms Ashnod's Altar into an engine of endless rebirth by using Nether Traitor as the ultimate sacrificial fodder, netting colorless mana every time it hits the altar. As Nether Traitor cycles in and out of the graveyard, Kheru Goldkeeper and Teval, the Balanced Scale capitalize on those cards leaving the graveyard to continuously flood your board with Treasure tokens and 2/2 black Zombie Druid creature tokens. The Treasures provide the black mana needed to pay Nether Traitor's return cost, while Teval, the Balanced Scale also chips in earlier by milling cards on attack and recurring lands to keep your engine humming smoothly.
