How it works

1. Cast Baithook Angler from your graveyard for its disturb cost by paying 2, causing it to enter the battlefield transformed as Hook-Haunt Drifter.
2. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Hook-Haunt Drifter, adding 2.
3. Because Dress Down causes Hook-Haunt Drifter to lose all abilities, it is not exiled when it is sacrificed, and is returned to your graveyard as Baithook Angler.
4. Repeat.

By turning every permanent into an artifact, Mycosynth Lattice sets the stage for Dress Down, whose static ability strips all creatures on the battlefield of their text boxes. This nullification is the linchpin of the loop: when you cast Baithook Angler from your graveyard via its disturb cost, it enters as Hook-Haunt Drifter, but Dress Down erases the replacement effect that would normally exile it upon dying. Instead, sacrificing Hook-Haunt Drifter to Ashnod's Altar cleanly sends it back to the graveyard as Baithook Angler, allowing you to continually recast and sacrifice it for an endless storm count and infinite creature triggers.
