How it works
If Enduring Vitality is not a creature, activate Zur by paying 1, causing Enduring Vitality to become a creature.
Activate Enduring Vitality by tapping it, adding .
Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Enduring Vitality, adding CC.
When Enduring Vitality dies, it triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield as an enchantment.
Repeat.
This loop sets up a clever conversion engine using Zur, Eternal Schemer to turn Enduring Vitality into a creature, allowing it to tap for mana thanks to its own bestowed ability and then feed directly into Ashnod's Altar for colorless energy. Because Enduring Vitality's built-in recursion triggers whenever it dies as a creature, it effortlessly returns to the battlefield as an enchantment, ready to be animated all over again. Meanwhile, Frostcliff Siege happily sits on the board, ready to grant its chosen combat buffs or card draw off the back of your newly empowered engine.
