How it works

  1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Scrapwork Cohort, adding CC.
  2. Scrapwork Cohort dies, triggering Nim Deathmantle, causing you to pay 4 to return Scrapwork Cohort from your graveyard to the battlefield, and attach Nim Deathmantle to it.
  3. Scrapwork Cohort enters the battlefield, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
  4. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Soldier token, adding CC.
  5. Repeat.
