How it works

1. Activate Dino DNA by paying 6, creating a token copy of Deranged Hermit that is a 6/6 Dinosaur.
2. When the Deranged Hermit token enters the battlefield, it triggers, creating four 1/1 Squirrel creature tokens.
3. Activate Ashnod's Altar three times by sacrificing three Squirrels, adding six C.
4. Repeat.

By feeding the massive token copies generated by Dino DNA straight into Ashnod's Altar, we unlock an explosive engine that converts six mana into an army. Specifically, targeting Deranged Hermit with Dino DNA brings forth a beefed-up 6/6 Dinosaur clone that still triggers its original enters-the-battlefield ability, instantly supplying four 1/1 Squirrel tokens. You can then sacrifice three of those Squirrels to Ashnod's Altar to generate the exact six colorless mana needed to activate Dino DNA all over again. The Hermit's own passive anthem—giving all Squirrels +1/+1—is a delightful flavor touch, but the real magic is how this loop churns out infinite colorless mana, endless death triggers, and an infinitely growing horde of creatures ready to trample the opposition.
