How it works
- Activate Cormela by paying 1 and tapping it, adding that can only be spent to cast instant or sorcery spells.
- Cast Demonic Gifts by paying 1, targeting Cormela.
- Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Cormela, adding CC.
- When Cormela dies, it triggers twice.
- Resolve the first trigger, returning Cormela from your graveyard to the battlefield.
- Resolve the second trigger, returning Demonic Gifts from your graveyard to your hand.
- Repeat.
This clever loop starts by using Cormela, Glamour Thief's tap ability to fund Demonic Gifts, while Ashnod's Altar provides the colorless mana needed for the activation cost and the sacrifice outlet. When Cormela is sacrificed to Ashnod's Altar, both her own death trigger and the delayed trigger granted by Demonic Gifts fire off simultaneously, creating a loop that returns Cormela to the battlefield and Demonic Gifts right back to your hand. Repeating this process lets you churn through infinite sacrifice and death triggers while generating an endless supply of colorless and restricted colored mana to fuel your next big play.
