How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Cathodion, adding CC.
2. When Cathodion dies, it triggers, adding CCC.
3. Activate Eldrazi Displacer by paying 2C, blinking Edgar.
4. Cast Cathodion from your graveyard by paying 2.
5. Repeat.

This ingenious colorless engine uses Ashnod's Altar as the sacrifice outlet to convert Cathodion into four total mana, comfortably covering the activation cost for Eldrazi Displacer's blink ability. Meanwhile, Herald of Kozilek provides a crucial cost reduction that ensures Cathodion can be recast directly from the graveyard for just two mana, a feat made possible by Edgar, Master Machinist allowing you to replay artifacts from your graveyard once per turn (which is continually refreshed each time Eldrazi Displacer resets Edgar). By looping this sequence, you generate an endless cascade of sacrifice, entry, and death triggers while easily churning out a net gain of colorless mana.
